Mary Moore Hill, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 30, 2014 with family by her side. She was born in Spartanburg, SC on July 20, 1924 to Francis Dowdell and Elizabeth Green Moore. She was the oldest of three children. Predeceased in death : her parents ; brothers-Francis Dowdell Moore, Jr. and James Moore, her son, John James Rambo, Jr. Survived by her granddaughters: Stephanie Hope Metzler (Benjamin) and Mary Elizabeth Silas (Paul); great-grandsons: Zachary and Ryan Metzler. Mary was very active in the prayer and healing ministries and ECW for Grace Episcopal Church. Her favorite holiday was Christmas as she loved to decorate the house, wrap presents and read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends as her memories live on. A memorial will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, 4110 S. Ridgewood Avenue, Port Orange, Fl. 32137. Donations can be given in her honor to Grace Episcopal Church.
