McKinley Rice (Jr) , Port Orange, FL. passed suddenly on July 18, 2021, at Halifax Hospital ER.

Jr was born on October 8, 1928 in Martinsville, VA to McKinley Rice and Beulah (Eanes) Rice.

Survive by his wife of 27 years, Lucille Rice. Step children: James Lacey, Dennis Lacey, Lori Lightcap, Linda Bostrom, Robert Parker, and Mary Parker, as well as many step grand and great grand kids.

Preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Pamela (Rice) Flowers, and son David Rice.

At the age of 17 Jr joined the US Navy and proudly served for 20 years as a first class machinist. After retiring from the Navy he worked at a water treatment plant in Martinsville, VA for 22 years. Once retired from the City of Martinsville he moved to Florida in 1992 where he worked several security guard positions.

Jr loved to paint and attend races at the dog track occasionally. He also enjoyed watching old movies.
He was an avid NASCAR fan and as a young man he owned several race cars and was heavily involved in the racing circles locally in Martinsville.

Jr will be dearly missed.
