Orval Stuhr

May 4, 1925 - August 30, 2021

Orval passed peacefully of COVID at Halifax Hospital.  He was resident, librarian, and president at Emory L. Bennett Nursing Home.  He was a proud WWII Veteran featured several times in the Daytona Beach News-Journal including on the front page on January 14, 2017 and November 10, 2019.

Orval was preceded in death by wives Doris Stuhr and Helen Elam Stuhr.  He is survived by sons Terry and Richard Stuhr, step-son Rick Elam, grandson Jason Stuhr, and great-grandsons Wyatt, Max, and Finn Stuhr.

A visitation is scheduled on Monday, September 20 from 5:00-7:00pm followed by a funeral service on Tuesday, September 21 at 10:30am at Hope Lutheran Church, 594 N Williamson Boulevard, Daytona Beach.  Orval will be interred with military honors at 12:00 pm at Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach.
