Patricia T. "Patty" Bruda, 69, of Port Orange, passed away on June 30, 2015 after a 3 month illness. Patty was born on July 27, 1945 in Haverhill, Massachusetts to the late Chester and Hermie Turner. She graduated from Winter Park High School and attended Junior College in Orlando. She was affiliated with a former member of the University of Florida's Institute for Agricultural Studies (IFAS) and a master gardener and a master naturalist with IFAS and the Volusia County Agricultural Extension. Survivors include her husband of 47 ½ years, James "Jim"; son, Michael (Jennifer) Bruda of Gainesville, FL; sister, Terry Turner of Atlanta; two grandchildren, Glenn (11) and Maggie (5) Bruda, both of Gainesville, FL. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Grace Episcopal Church, 4110 S. Ridgewood Avenue, Port Orange, FL 32129.
