Patrick Miles Gillis, Sr. (AKA Pappa) a long-time resident of Daytona Beach Shores, Florida, passed away on August 7, 2017 after a year and a half long battle of cancer. Pat enjoyed his family and spending his days at the flea markets and auctions. He never met anyone he didn't call his friend. Pat was self-employed since 1969 running several businesses and was the first person to rent golf carts in Daytona Beach Shores. He is survived by his wife Jean of almost 60 years, son Rick Gillis (Corinna), son John Gillis (Tammy), daughter Teresa Ward (Kevin), daughter Donna Schultz (Tom), his sister Mary Greene, and seven grandchildren Lynn, Michael, Lauren, Kristin, Hayley, Cassie, Tyler, and one great grandchild Rylee. The family will receive friends Thursday at 2pm with the service following from 3-4 at the funeral home.
