Born on May 17, 1928 to Sylvia and John Tallale of Kenosha, Wisconsin
In 1962 he married Judith McAuliffe and shortly after welcomed the birth of their son John.
Richard and Judith moved to Miami, FL. in 1965 where he worked for Burdines Department Store as a furniture salesman and retired after 23 years of service.
The Tallale's also welcomed their second child; Sandra soon after their move to South Florida.
Richard was an avid outdoor sportsman, whether bow fishing or duck hunting in Wisconsin or deep sea fishing and lobstering in the waters off South Florida he did it with a zest for adventure and love of the outdoors. He used these opportunities to teach his children to love the ocean and the treasures it held.
He was also the consummate repairman, there was nothing he couldn't fix or make better. He was always willing to lend a hand in any project large or small. His love of gardening and natural artistic ability could be seen in the numerous fruit trees he grew and in the knick-knacks he would create.
A man who loved to laugh, he could always make you smile by telling an animated joke
He loved the holidays, which gave him the opportunity to decorate with his latest creations. His house was always drenched in the spirit of whatever holiday season it was, from bats made from old wine corks at Halloween to a hand made Santa falling down the chimney, with reindeer of course, at Christmas time. His house was a site to behold
A devout husband, dedicated father and all around gentle man, Richard loved family gatherings as well as quiet moments with the love of his life; Judith.
Richard died peacefully at home with his wife and family on September 10, 2016
He survived by his wife Judith, son John Tallale and wife Terri, daughter Sandra Tallale Ellis and husband David, grandchildren Brandon and Rachel Tallale and Sean and Kelsea Ellis.
Let us celebrate the man we knew as RickTall and smile when we think of him; he will truly be missed.
