Robert E. "Bobby" Williamson passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tenn., surrounded by love. He was born August 17, 1933 in Athele, Ohio and raised in Huntington, WV. In 1969, he moved to Daytona Beach until 2012 when he moved to North Carolina to be closer to family. Robert was DVA, with his service branch of the US Navy in the Korean War on the USS Helena, USS St. Paul and Sea Bees. In addition to his parents, Tom and Gladys Williamson, and baby sister, Barbara Jean Williamson, he is also preceded in death his wife, Jeannie Mann Williamson, of 26 years. Robert was survived by his children, Kimberly Sue Williamson Schrader and husband Ray of Banner Elk, NC, and Robert E. Williamson Jr., of Hurricane, WV; his sister, Esther Carter of Huntington, WV; three grandchildren, Jessica King and husband Ballou of Washburn, North Dakota, Christopher Schrader of Austin, Texas, and Christina Schrader of Daytona Beach; three great-grandchildren, Austin King, Chloe King, and Haylee Hess; nephews, Tommy Carter and Dana Carter; and great nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at The Florida National Cemetery, 6502 Southwest 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513, with military honors.
