Funeral service for Robert W. (Bob) Nelson, III will be 11 AM Friday, October 25, 2019 in the chapel of Cardwell, Baggett and Summers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Daytona Memorial Park.  Friends who wish may pay their respects at the funeral home Thursday evening from 4 until 8 PM.  Bob was born in Daytona Beach and lived here most of his life.  He was a member of the IBEW Local Union 756, where he taught with the apprenticeship program for many years. He was a skilled photographer specializing in wildlife photos. He was also an active member of his high school graduating class, assisting and organizing many class-wide events. He enjoyed spending time working with his plants in the yard, surrounded by his dogs. He was always the cook at family gatherings, smoking and grilling the best meat. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda. His brother Walter Nelson (Lana Vessella) and sisters, Jonnie Sue Bohem, Nancy Bryan and, Cathy Duffy. His daughter, Dawn Farmer (David) and his sons, Tracy Nelson (Mary), Lee Nelson, and Brian Nelson (Bobsie). His Grandchildren, Samantha Yates (Mack), Rachel Bullock (William), Valerie Johnson (Eric), Brittany Brown (Patrick), Ashlee Young (Tyler), Kelsey Smith (Carson), Wyatt Nelson, Richard Nelson, Issac Nelson, Peter Nelson, Max Nelson, Emily Nelson and his great grandchildren, Maddox Brown, Kade Smith, Easton Smith, Gavyn Nelson, Arieamma Nelson, and Jayhean Nelson.
