Robert A. Searby was born in Daytona Beach, Florida and lived in the Daytona Beach area most of his life except for brief periods of residence in Gainesville and Jacksonville, Fl.

Robert graduated from Father Lopez High School in 1969 and, following this, graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture. He loved growing all kinds of plants and worked in the landscape design field most of his life. He was an avid Gator fan and loved watching their basketball and football games.

Robert Searby was predeceased by his parents,Edward and Irene Searby. He is survived by his wife, Dolena, Holly Hill, sisters,Arlene (Fred) North, Ormond Beach, Joanne (John) Wrieden, Melbourne Beach, Lori (David) Tuttle, Palm Bay, and brother in law, Frank Wright, Leesburg. He also has 4 nephews and 3 nieces .
