Roger K. Weston, 92, of Holly Hill, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2021, at his residence at Bishop's Glen in Holly Hill. He was born on April 28, 1928, in Saranac Lake, New York to the late Harry and Alice Weston. Roger graduated from Saranac High School in 1946 and went on to serve his country from 1947 to 1950 in the United States Army where he was M.P. He earned an AAS degree from Paul Smith's College in New York in June 1952. He then served as an active Army Reserve for nine and a half years. In the summer of 1952 he was a night auditor at Ft. William Henry Hotel in Lake George, NY. In October of 1952 Roger moved to Daytona Beach and was the night auditor at Princess Issena Hotel. He then worked at Florida Bank and Trust Company (Wells Fargo) in Daytona Beach from February 1952 until May 1984 where he retired as Vice President. Then he worked at Dunn Brothers Hardware in Daytona Beach for nine more years and retired a second time in April 1993. He was also active in the Sunset Lions Club of Daytona Beach. Roger moved to Bishop's Glen in February 2005 and while living there was President of the Residents' Association for two years and then Treasurer of the Residents' Association for eight years. He also sang in the Bishop's Glen choir, managed Wii Bowling, attended bible study, called numbers at Bingo and was a member of the Men's Group all at Bishop's Glen. He was a long-time member of Highlands Presbyterian Church and then joined Lighthouse Christ Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by Bunny, his wife of 70 years, whom he married on April 9, 1950; two daughters, Sandey (Russ) Stayanoff of Macedonia and Julie L. (Steve Peth) Weston of Port Orange, FL; sister, Ruth Woodward of Upstate, NY; three grandchildren, John Arrowsmith of Seattle, Washington, Lauren (Tim) Gordon of Atlanta, GA and Weston (Christine) Arrowsmith of TN; two great-grandchildren, Daniel and Drew Gordon of Atlanta, GA and numerous nieces and nephews. There is no service planned at this time.
