Obituary

KRAMER, Colonel Ronald T., U.S. Army, Retired, age 79, of Ponce Inlet, Florida passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013. Colonel Kramer served over 30 years in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was awarded numerous medals including the Defense Superior Service Medal and the Legion of Merit. He received his bachelor's degree from Temple University, a master's degree from Boston University, and a PhD from Pacific Western University. While in military service he also studied at Columbia University and the U.S. Army War College. After retirement, he served as a consultant for the Tampa Chamber of Commerce and taught at Hillsborough Community College. Ronald was predeceased by his daughter, Cynthia Kramer-Jillings. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Tawna (ne Barton); children, Michele (Gary) Kramer-Wolfson, Elliott (Jennifer) Kramer, Bonne (Jon Tomlinson) Kramer; sister, Toby (Robert) Kline; and five grandchildren, Zachary and Olivia Wolfson and Naomi, Landon, and Cianna Kramer. Interment will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange, 1201 Dunlawton Ave., Port Orange, Florida 32127. Ronald's family will receive guests at 2:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of Cardwell Funeral Home. Condolences may be shared with the family through this online guestbook.
