Shaun Kelly, 64 of Edgewater, Florida died on July 26 after a long illness. Born in Pittsfield to Josephine and the late Richard Kelly, he moved to Florida in 1992.
He leaves his wife, Denise of 43 years, twin sons, Shaun Jr. (Krystal) of Paul Idaho, Richard (Mira) of Edgewater, granddaughters, Trisha and Bailey of Idaho, Grandsons Noah, Drew & Jake of Dalton and a great grandson, Emery of Idaho. He is also survived by sisters, Joan (Tony) DiMartino of Pittsfield, Colleen (Rick) Lincoln of Tennessee, Dawn McLaughlin of Pittsfield and brothers Jim (Karen) of Florida, Kevin Kelly and Brian Kelly both of Pittsfield.
Shaun never knew a stranger - once he met you you were friends for life. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, woodworking and helping the elderly in his neighborhood. He was an avid sports fan, especially the New Orleans Saints and played softball most of his adult life.
Shaun's fur babies, Buddy & Holly brought him great joy and in lieu of flowers donations can be made the the Edgewater Animal Shelter, 605 Mango Tree Dr., Edgewater, FL 32132.
Shaun is also survived by his childhood cohorts in crime John Levardi and Jimmy Bunnell. Instead of a funeral, Shaun requested that all of his friends gather together to raise a cold one to celebrate his life.
