Shawn A. Khan Orlando FL - Shawn Afzal Khan, 36, passed away March 11, 2021. He was born on October 16, 1984 in Queens, New York, the son of Imtiaz and Bibi Khan.  Shawn graduated from Bayside High School, Palm Bay, FL in 2001. He was an active member of the swim team and also played soccer and basketball in city leagues. He was much loved by friends spanning all grade levels and, like gravity, he had the ability to pull people in.  After graduating Shawn enlisted in the United States Navy and was stationed in Sasebo, Japan. Upon completing his enlistment in 2003, Shawn returned to Florida to the family's new residence in Port Orange and began working with his father.  In 2007, Shawn moved to Orlando where he would remain until his passing. He held a variety of jobs ranging from hospitality to construction as he searched for his place in life. His current position of 7 years was with CICB providing OSHA training and inspections.  Shawn is survived by his parents, his brother Jason and his sister Kelly, as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins too numerous to mention on both sides of the family. His loss moves through the family like ripples on a pond, emanating outward and affecting all those in his life.  A Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday March 20, 2021 in the Chapel at Cardwell Baggett & Summers Funeral Home, 301 Big Tree Road, South Daytona, Florida 32119.  A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday March 20, 2021 at Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114.  Further obituary details coming soon.  Condolences may be shared with the family here on our online guestbook, www.cardwellfuneral.com
