Sheila M. Simonetti, 64, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 in the presence of her loving family. She was born in Baltimore, MD to Kenneth and Elizabeth Hands. She married her loving husband Ray, 46 years ago, and lived together in Rising Sun, MD, then located to South Daytona in 2001. Sheila worked for the Krispy Kream firm in retail for many years, where she loved her job; she also worked as an advocate for abused children in foster care, and provided emergency foster care for teenage kids in trouble. Sheila was instrumental in raising funds for the American Legion #361, for Homeless Veterans. She loved her family very much, and was known to love birds and dogs. A farewell toast to Sheila will be held at the American Legion Post #361, 2648 S. Ridgwood Ave, South Daytona, Fl on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 6pm. Sheila leaves to cherish her memory; Her loving and devoted husband of 46 plus years, Raymond Simonetti Jr; 1 son, Joseph Simonetti, 1 Daughter-in-law, Antoinette Simonetti; 1 sister, Kathleen Schwabline; 3 brothers, Michael, Steve and David Hands; 1 brother-in-law, Pete; 1 grand-daughter, Annalisa; and a host of other relatives and friends.
