Shirley M. Sharp , 84 of Port Orange, Florida passed away September 21, 2022.

Shirley was born in Williamsport, Md March 12th, 1938, and had been a resident of Port Orange, Fl for the past 40 years where she enjoyed baking and gardening. Prior to settling in Port Orange, she had traveled and lived as the wife of a career Army Officer throughout the United States and Europe.

She was known for her gift of conversation, storytelling and enjoyed entertaining family and friends regularly where there was never a shortage of homemade baked goods.

Her passion was her family, and she was totally devoted to the health and wellbeing of her grandchildren; she continues to be an inspiration and role model to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Verdis D. Sharp along with her children; Gary Sharp of Port Orange Fl, Glenda Kelley of Deland Fl, Rhonda Jannetti of Ohio, Ronald Barnes Jr. of Ohio, Carolyn Barnes of Ohio, 10 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grand Children and a sister; Ava Mussolino of Hagerstown Md.

In addition to her parents Milford & Ruth Anderson She was preceded in death by her son Donald Barnes; Sisters Nancy Carpenter & Anita Saloom and brothers Jim Anderson and Charles Anderson.

A Memorial Service will be held at Cardwell Baggett & Summers Funeral Home, 301 Big Tree Rd, in South Daytona on Monday, October 3rd, 2022, at 2pm.
