Stephen DiClemente, 83, Port Orange, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2009. A mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 17 at Epiphany Catholic Church, 201 Lafayette Street in Port Orange with interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the Cardwell Funeral Home, 3571 Ridgewood Ave, Port Orange, FL on Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Stephen was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 15, 1926. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a retired tool and die supervisor. Stephen came to this area 25 years ago from Philadelphia. He was a very dedicated father and family man. Stephen was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling. He was a great photographer and worked in the photography department at Temple University. Stephen was predeceased by his parents, Gaetano and Domenica DiClemente and is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marie, Port Orange; son, Stephen DiClemente, New Jersey; three daughters, Camille Piccone, Glenn Mills, PA, Marie Ecklund, Westchester, PA and Bernadette DiClemente, Parkridge, IL; sister, Marie Blumberg, Daytona Beach; and seven grandchildren. In lieu of other remembrances, the family suggests donations be made in Mr. DiClemente's memory to the New Smyrna Beach Artificial Kidney Center, 821 State Road 44, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168, Attention Barb Hall.
