On Sunday, August 14th, 2022, Sy Michael Sabourin , loving son, brother, and uncle passed away at the age of 44 in Daytona, Florida.

Sy was born on January 23rd, 1978 in Burlington, Vermont, and spent much of his younger years playing outside, skiing, playing basketball, and other activities. Throughout his life he spent time between Minnesota, Vermont, and Florida. He spent the last 10 years of his life in the Daytona, Florida area.

Sy had a passion for music, walking, playing card games, and going out to eat with his family. He loved to play and watch sports and he was an avid reader and enjoyed writing for much of his life. Sy loved spending time with friends playing chess, cribbage, and talking.

He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Sy was known as a friend to all and will be forever remembered for his enduring love for his family, friends, and anyone around him. His empathy and sense of humor will be treasured in our hearts and in heaven.

Sy  is survived by his parents, Susan and David Sweet, Michael and Carol Sabourin, his brother Besset Sabourin and his wife Jennifer Sabourin, his niece and nephews, Ellie, Charlie, and Adam, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and relatives.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 21st, 2022, to be held at Cardwell, Baggett & Summers Funeral Home located in South Daytona, Florida.  Condolences are welcome to be shared with the family via this online guestbook.
