Virginia F. Hopson-Westberry, 85, passed away, Thursday, June 13, 2013, in the presence of her loving family. She was born December 17, 1927 to Elwyn and Rosetta Fretwell in Cocoa Beach, FL, and was raised in New Smyrna Beach, FL, where she graduated from New Smyrna Beach High School. She loved to sing and play southern gospel music. She accomplished a LPN nursing degree, and delighted in being a homemaker. A graveside service will take place Monday, June 17, 2013, 11am, at Woodland Cemetery, Port Orange, Fl. She leaves to cherish her memory 2 sisters; Nita Osterman, and Frances Getwan; 1 brother, Elwyn Fretwell; 3 sons, Gary(Debbie)Westberry, of WV; Dennis(Colleen)Westberry of IN; and Gene Westberry, of FL; 2 daughters, Myra(Hal)Jolley of TN; Iris(David)Blevins of TN; 8 grand-children, 9 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
