Virginia "Ginny" Stanley Ashley, 82, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Friday February 26, 2021 at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida.  She was born on November 2, 1938 in Venetia, Pennsylvania, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, to the late John Blase and Sarah Jeanette (Broyles) Volkar.  She and her husband, Joseph Stanley, moved to the Daytona Beach, Florida area with their two sons, Richard and Dwayne "Bud".  She worked at Norman & Edwards from which she retired.  There she met and later married Charlie Ashley.  She also worked several years at Spruce Creek Travel as a travel agent.  Ginny and Charlie loved to travel and for many years she was President of P.O.R.T (Port Orange Recreational Travelers).  She was an active member of Covenant United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her first husband; her two sons; a grandson; a sister and her parents.  She is survived by her husband, Charlie;  a brother, John Volkar;  three grandchildren, Elizabeth Lee, Justin Stanley and Alecia Ten;  step-son, Michael Ashley and many great-grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed by her many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday March 11, 2021 with the Family receiving friends from 10:30 am-11:00 am in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange, 1201 Dunlawton Avenue, Port Orange, Florida 32129. Memorial Donations may be made to Ginny's Favorite Church, Covenant United Methodist Church, 3701 S. Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange, Florida 32129.
