Walter T. Beers, 65, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2014. A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 7:00 P.M at Cardwell, Baggett and Summers Funeral Home, 3571 S. Ridgewood Ave, Port Orange, FL. Walter was born in 1948 to the late Kenneth D. and Nora Beers. Walter was very fond of NASCAR, reading, and football. He was in the National Guard for 6 years and was later in active duty Army for 13 years. Walter also worked in maintenance for 16 years at Manheim Auto Auction. Those left to cherish Walter's memory are his wife of 41 years, Judy Beers; son, Thomas Beers; sisters, Debbie Beers, Kathleen (Pete) Zapitz, Terry Gettle, and Donna (Rob) Dea.
