William Swenson

1924 - 2021

William Swenson, 97, passed away on December 18, 2021.  William is a World War II Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater Army Corps of Engineers.  His lifetime of service to his country continued as Commander of the VFS Post 5788.  During his life, William served as the 5th District Auditor and the Lockport City Treasurer.  He also worked for and retired after 40 years from Texaco.

As a member of the community, William was admired by all, he was a Junior Achievement Advisor and was a Little League Coach for many years.

William is pre deceased by his wife of 61 years, Shirley Swenson.  He is survived by his sons Bernard (Maria) Swenson, and William (Karen) Swenson; granddaughter Gina Swenson, grandsons Neil Swenson, Bill Swenson Jr, Kyle Swenson, and 8 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held on December 22, 2021 at 10:30 AM at the Basilica of St Paul Catholic Church in Daytona Beach, FL.
